You may know about the recent incident at a California health care rally where a health care reform supporter bit off the pinky finger of a health care reform opponent who was punching him in the face. Although my research hasn't been able to find another example of somebody who bit off somebody else's finger for political reasons, I did find this UPI wire story from the front page of the October 9, 1969 edition of the Anniston Star of Anniston, Alabama.
